I live in the high desert southwest so fire is our biggest natural disaster we worry about (yes, we are extremely lucky that way). Hoping for rain (but not floods) for everyone in Fire Country!Melissahttp://evergrowingfarm.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6754077908575667473.post-51642151001380722522017-09-04T10:36:18.398-07:002017-09-04T10:36:18.398-07:00Yeah, I try not to bitch too much, but sometimes I...Yeah, I try not to bitch too much, but sometimes I can't help it. As for flooding, our ground is so dry that the second a cloud so much as sneezes on us, flash flood warnings pretty much go into effect everywhere. There's also so much pavement, roofs, etc., in the metro area that the water doesn't really have anywhere to go. Not quite a 500 year event, but I swear the weather here is either all or nothing, no middle ground xDDayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14455711123302797986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6754077908575667473.post-66758247195734590602017-09-04T10:09:16.690-07:002017-09-04T10:09:16.690-07:00Ah, the state of today's 'information'...Ah, the state of today's 'information' services, which makes me think of the picture of a huge bulldozer pushing garbage around at the landfill, with a cloud of seagulls in its wake. Fire watches and flash flood warning at the same time? Must be a 500 year event, like massive floods in Houston. gardenvariety-hoosierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02823437033502199023noreply@blogger.com
